Monument to the Homeland is a work of the Colombian sculptor Rómulo Rozo and was inaugurated in April 1956. In this wonderful monument you can see more than 300 figures that were carved by hand and relate the history of Mexico, since Tenochtitlán was founded, until the 20th century. It is located on Paseo de Montejo in one of the busiest roundabouts in the city of Merida. For this photo, I arrived at the place by bicycle around 6:00 pm that the sun was already setting, I located myself on one of the sidewalks of the roundabout and began to fly the drone, making it go up until I had a complete perspective of the monument and the streets that circulate through it, including the famous Paseo Montejo. I love the contrast in the photo between the monument and the asphalt.

El Monumento a la Patria es una obra del escultor Rómulo Rozo de nacionalidad colombiana, y fue inaugurado en abril de 1956. En este maravilloso monumento se pueden apreciar más de 300 figuras que fueron talladas a mano y relatan la historia de México, desde que se fundó Tenochtitlán hasta el Siglo XX. Se encuentra localizado en Paseo de Montejo en una de las glorietas mas transitadas de la ciudad de Mérida. Para esta foto, llegue al lugar en bicicleta alrededor de las 6:00 pm que el sol ya se estaba ocultando, me ubiqué en una de las banquetas de la glorieta y comence a volar el dron haciendolo subir hasta tener una perspectiva completa del monumento y las calles que circulan a traves del mismo, dentro de las que figuran el famoso Paseo Montejo. Me encanta el contraste en la foto entre el monumento y el asfalto.
